Institution "Narnie" offers complex social and educational care to mostly mentally but also to combined disabled children from 3 to 15 years old. Institution works all the working week from Monday 7 a.m. to Friday 17 p.m. The goal of employees team is to provide our child clients these three kinds of care based on individual approach to each child:
Institution "Narnie is oriented on a very difficult manageable severely mentally or combined disabled children. Our clients - children are either autistic or indifferent and it is necessary to teach them very patiently to react to surroumńding stimulations. Or on the contrary these children are too active and axceedingly movable, who are in common social institutions silenced with strong medicaments and so they can not develop enough. With God´s help and patience institution "Narnie" wants to offer appropriate and quality individual care to these children. The stress is layed on expertness and well consideredness of the care, on preparation of individual plans and complex rehabilitation. However the basis of work of all employees should be real and unpretended love to disabled children.
It appeared very early that capacity of "Narnie" (3-4 children) is, with regard to demands of Břeclav Region, insufficient. That is why we in 1993 started building extension of institution financed from Betlem´s fund of gifts, it is totaly without state dotation. In 1997 we succesfuly finished this extension by God´s help. The annex building costs were 3 millions Kč and it enabled us to extend "Narnie" capacity to 8-9 children. The "Narnie" character is still week institution of complex social care - it means it is not school however on educational and pedagogical part of care is layd remarkable importance. Part of service is also providing accomodation to both children and workers.
